Mena Alexa Suvari, born 1979. She is an American fashion designer, model and actor. Shortly after beginning her career as a model, she transitioned into acting after appearing as a guest on 90's television shows such as Boy Meets World and High Incident. The film debut came in 1997's dramatic Nowhere. Her performances in American Beauty, for which she was awarded a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie attracted a lot of public attention. Her next appearance was in Loser (2000), with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Later she played the lead character for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun is an independent film from 2002 and the thriller movie Trauma (2004) are her two most recent appearances. In HBO's drama show Six Feet Under. In 2004, she was recognized as an Outstanding Cast member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari appeared in several movies like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the film adaption of The Garden of Eden.
