Mena Alexandra Suvari, born February 13, 1979, in America is an actor as well as a fashion designer and model. After a brief stint as a model for fashion before moving into acting by appearing as guest stars on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. The actress made her debut in film in the 1997 dramatic film Nowhere. The performances she made in American Beauty, for which she won a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie brought her to broader attention. Her next appearance was in Loser (2000) in which she starred alongside American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Then she appeared as the role of the title role for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). In 2002, she starred in Spun the drama by an independent company as well as the 2004 thriller, Trauma. In addition, she was a part of HBO drama Six Feet Under in 2004 the show was awarded a nomination for the Outstanding Cast in the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The show also featured her in Day of the Dead as well as The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh, and the film version of The Garden of Eden.
